Rooks County Health Center Staff Additions

Rooks County Health Center continues to grow with the addition of Emily Decker, a Physician’s Assistant, and Leann Zimmerman, a Registered Nurse Practitioner. Both enjoy working in the rural setting RCH provides.
Decker of Hays worked with Dr. Fisher over the summer as part of her rotations. The welcoming environment, community and staff of Plainville Medical Clinic and RCH are just a few of the characteristics that persuaded her to come back to the health center after graduation. “Through family medicine practices in smaller community like Rooks County, you have the ability to get to know your patients and become involved in all aspects of patient care for all ages,” said Decker, who is also interested in working with OB patients.
Zimmerman, also of Hays, specializes in family practice and mental health. As a nurse practitioner, Zimmerman can serve as a patient’s regular health care provider and looks forward to caring for patients in the general practice of the clinic and hospital’s acute and emergency conditions.
Currently, Dana Pfeifer, a nurse practitioner student from Wichita State University completing her rural rotation, is working with Zimmerman.
Both Decker and Zimmerman are available to see patients at Plainville Medical Clinic and the county’s outreach clinics.
