Stroke Screening
(Offered at RCH)
Carotid Artery Scan $25

Painless 10 minute test to show any problems (plaque build-up) in the carotid arteries. These arteries, located in the neck, supply the brain with blood flow. Over time, build-up of plaque or atherosclerosis on the artery walls can begin to restrict this blood flow, possibly causing a stroke. This scan can also detect early signs of plaque buildup.

Cardiac/Heart Health* (Offered at RCH and Stockton Medical Clinic)
Cardiac Risk/Proactive Chem 14 – $18

For accurate testing, please refrain from eating or drinking 12-14 hours before testing. Sips of water are acceptable

These tests along with other risk factors such as age and sex can help determine whether you have a slight, moderate or high chance of having a cardiovascular event such as heart attack or stroke. This profile of tests measures cholesterol and triglycerides, evaluates good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol as well as checking the status of your kidneys, liver, electrolyte and acid/ base balance, blood sugar and blood proteins. These tests monitor hypertension and kidney or liver-related side effects from specific medication. If you have a history or family history of high lipids or just want to know risk estimates, this is a good screening and monitoring test for you.

RCH strongly suggests you see your physician if you have symptoms of an illness. Screenings are not intended to replace doctor visits or diagnose medical conditions.

Diabetic Health* (Offered at RCH and Stockton Medical Clinic)
Diabetic Health - $18

For accurate testing, please refrain from eating or drinking 8 hours before testing. Sips of water are acceptable.

Combination of blood sugar tests and urine tests for a good overall view of your diabetic health to aid in treatment decisions. These tests are indicated every 3 to 12 months as recommended by your physician.

Colon Health* (Offered at RCH and Stockton Medical Clinic)
Colon Test – $5

Colon cancer is nearly 90% curable if detected early. However, there often are no symptoms in its early stages. Screens for gastrointestinal bleeding may indicate colon cancer. Recommended annually at the age of 50 for both men and women. Positive results may require additional testing by your physician.

Balance and Musculoskeletal Screening (Offered at RCH)
Balance and Musculoskeletal Screening – FREE

Assesses your function, possible pain generators and detects certain risk factors that may be causing injury. Screening includes evaluation of balance, posture, strength, flexibility and agility. Results of this screening determine if physical therapy will help or if more evaluation is necessary by a medical doctor. If therapy is indicated, the therapist will work with you to create an individualized program to help reduce or even eliminate these risk factors, prevent injuries and help you to achieve your desired functional ability.
