Why a Capital Campaign?

In order to demonstrate to our patients that everything possible is being done to provide the highest quality of care, Rooks County Health Center (RCH) upholds the rigorous recommendations and regulations that govern medical care. These regulations require very high standards, including state and federal certifications and credentialing. These recommendations help us provide excellent care, and assure that federal funds are available for our patients. Since our current facility was built for the needs and economy of 1955, maintaining these standards has created an unprecedented economic challenge, and we must turn to philanthropy to aid our goals.

Adhering to such high standards in this age of technology and growth presented the RCH Board with a significant challenge. They faced the dilemma of either spending millions of dollars to update an old facility or building a new facility. The dilemma included the need for additional space for operating rooms, increased rehabilitative therapy services, patient treatment areas, rooms designed for advanced technical medical equipment, and other state of the art advancements. After feasibility studies were completed, the board decided it would be in the best interest of the community to build a new facility. City officials concurred and made an excellent building site available.

More than 30,000 times last year someone benefited from the services provided by Rooks County Health Center. RCH serves thousands of men, women and children. Your family and friends depend on updated equipment and appropriate facilities for their medical needs. It is our hope that a successful campaign will provide the needed equipment and facilities that are necessary for their care.

Since the standard of care at RCH is to provide quality medical care in the best environment possible, the building and equipping of a new hospital is our goal. You have the opportunity to be a part of that future.
